STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern Ticket Office and Director of Athletics Tom Kleinlein announced today that football season tickets for the 2015 campaign have exceeded last season's total of 6,300 and are at the highest level since 1989.

Season ticket sales have increased in each of the last three seasons and are up over 1,600 from the total for the 2012 season. With over a month before the first home game, Georgia Southern is on pace to have the most season ticket sales in school history.

"It's great to see the response from our fans," said Kleinlein. "I think our goal of 7,000 season tickets is still attainable with just over one month left before the first game."

Fans can purchase season tickets and select their seats online, by calling 1-800-GSU-WINS or by visiting the ticket office in the Cowart Building adjacent to Paulson Stadium (203 Lanier Drive). Ticket office hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

There are still seats available in the Family Plan Section for as low as $75 per season ticket, and there are still seats available in the South Stands - Sections B, C, E and F - starting at $125 per seat with a $120 donation requirement

Seating in the Club Level in the North Stands, Eagle Club and the Optim Zone at Bishop Fieldhouse is sold out. Fans interested in season tickets with a hospitality component can purchase tickets in the Stadium Club, which require a $1,200 donation to the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation, and are available for $600. Those seats have a climate controlled environment along with food and beverages included in the cost of each ticket.

The best deal in Paulson Stadium is still available in Section LL.  For a $120 donation and $135 per seat, fans can sit on the 50-yard line in the mid deck area. Covered seating is still available in Sections 101, 102, 103, 111, 112 and 113, starting at $130 per seat with a $300 donation to the Athletic Foundation.

The journey continues for the Georgia Southern football team in year two of FBS play as the Eagles will host six home games in the 2015 campaign, including a pair of teams that played in bowl games last season. Western Michigan (Famous Idaho Potato Bowl) comes to town for the home opener Sept. 12, marking the first time a non-conference FBS opponent will visit Paulson Stadium, and the Eagles welcome South Alabama (Raycom Media Camellia Bowl) Nov. 28.

Texas State, which finished the season bowl eligible with a 7-5 record, will travel to Statesboro for a Thursday night ESPNU national broadcast Oct. 29. The Eagles will close out the regular season at home against in-state rival Georgia State Dec. 5. The Citadel visits Paulson Stadium Sept. 19, and the Eagles play host to New Mexico State Oct. 17.

Georgia Southern won the 2014 Sun Belt title in its first season in the league, finishing 8-0 in the conference and 9-3 overall. The Eagles return 58 lettermen and 13 starters to the 2015 squad and were picked to win the Sun Belt in the league's preseason coaches' poll. The student-athletes report to preseason camp Aug. 2.
