HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The two squads each traded a run in the opening frame as RBI doubles from both Jorsixt Jimenez and Sean White would draw the game even at one.
- Tennessee Tech erupted for four runs in their second off of four hits, including both a double and a triple.
- After Brady Pendley would enter in the second inning, he would quickly settle in, including a two-strikeout inning in the fifth to keep the Golden eagles off the board.
- He would extend his success into his sixth, as after giving up a triple against his first batter faced, he would retire 13 of the next 16 Golden Eagles.
- In the seventh, a leadoff double from Nico Senese kept on him on second until a single from Mason Gazaway brought him home for his second career RBI, making it just 5-2.
- Despite the Golden Eagles not scoring from the second inning onward, they would force the Eagles to back-to-back innings of going down in order to close out the night.
NOTES:
- Jack Myers extended his hitting streak to four after just his first two ABs, while White now has a three-game multi-hit streak in also just his first two plate appearances on the night.
- Max Prozny would use his speed to also collect two hits in his first two at-bats, both deep grounders to the shortstop that he would beat out the throw to. I would be his first multi-hit night since Feb. 24th against Kennesaw State.
- Brady Pendley would have a career night on the rubber, throwing 6.1 scoreless innings with only two hits allowed, one of which was the very first batter he faced.
- The outing would be a new career high for Pendley in his innings of work, topping his six full innings he threw last year at Louisiana. He also tied for longest outing this season by an Eagle this season, mirroring Will Holder's 6.1 innings at South Florida.
